On Sunday 28 June Jersey Royal Company is hosting its annual LEAF Open Farm Sunday.
Open Farm Sunday is a great day out for the whole family and includes:
An educational marquee with community guests
Micro laboratory display
Static machinery display
Harvester rides
Pick your own potatoes
Packhouse tours – link below to book these
There will be a catering van onsite throughout the day for refreshments and the Jersey Ice Cream van will be there too
If you are interested in what happens to the potatoes after they have been harvested from your field, please come along and book on one of packhouse tours. Just to note, packhouse will be running during your visit so please wear sensible closed toe shoes.
Open Farm Sunday is free entry and the packhouse tours as free as well. The only thing we ask for is a donation to our chosen charity on the day.
The day was a great success last year with lots of money raised for Dementia Jersey and it is hoped that this year will be just as successful.
