
The RURAL Landscape awards took place at the CCI International Art Gallery in July as part of the gallery’s Summer Exhibition.These awards recognise artwork in any form, provided it draws inspiration from aspects of Jersey rural life such as landscapes, lanes, farming, food, animals, plants, or the natural environment.
The first prize was Sentinel by Janine Graham (shown above). The prize of £600 was sponsored by BCR Law.
Second prize was Silent Field by Rachel Ara, who won a free holiday let of one of Jersey Heritage’s properties.

Third prize: Storm Ciarán was won by Caroline Hall, who received a cheque for £300 from BCR Law.

Judges were Alasdair Crosby and Gary Grimshaw of RURAL magazine, David Benest, managing partner of BCR Law, and Aras Amici, art commissions curator at Jersey Heritage.
