In Storm Ciarán, the big storm in November 2023, Richard Le Quesne lost a big oak tree, which fell across his pond at Beau Desert Farm, St Saviour.
In 2025, it was removed from the pond by Jonathan Le Maistre Tree Surgery, and cut into big chunks.
Richard then gave the timber to the National Trust for Jersey, whose team cut most of it into planks, but cut one piece into a lintel beam for a
doorway at The Elms. This has now been installed.

Also, a bench was created at Le Don Anderton at Vicard Point, the scenic scenic, rugged headland on the north coast, located between Bouley Bay and Egypte.
