BLACK BUTTER – LÉ NIÈR BEURRE 

Join the National Trust for Jersey from 2 October to  4 October for its traditional Black Butter Festival at The Elms, St Mary.

Thursday 2 October, 2pm -5pm – The apple peeling starts and all are welcome to come along and help peel!

Friday 3 October, 10am – 10pm – The process has begun and peeling continues

Saturday 4th October, 10am – 4pm – Black Butter Market Day, free entry to all

Black Butter Market

Come along to The Elms on Saturday 4 October and enjoy the community celebration that surrounds the making of Black Butter.

Enjoy homemade sausages and cider, wood-fired pizza and homemade cakes.

Other artisan products include chutneys and sauces, apple juice, honey and crafts.

Children can enjoy apple-themed games, pumpkin carving, and there will be a chance to find out more about the work from the National Trust for Jersey.

Throughout the day there will be live music in the courtyard too!

As with previous years, parking is available at Granite Products in St Peter’s Valley and a free shuttle bus will be provided to and from the Elms from 10am -4pm.

The festival is free to all but donations to the National Trust for Jersey are very welcome!
