From the Jersey Gardening Club‘s programme coordinator, Fiona Murphy:
The Jersey Gardening Club has an exciting programme of talks planned for 2026, and we’d be delighted if you might be able to help us spread the word in your Rural magazine – see attached 2026 schedule.
There’s a real mix on offer, from horticultural therapy with Liam O’Connor, to award-winning garden designer Annie Guilfoyle, herbs with Sally Fleming, and even growing Jersey’s very own tea with Matt Bartlet — something of interest to all.
Our talks take place on the third Tuesday of each month at St Lawrence Parish Hall (NOTE change of venue for February). Doors open at 7.00pm and talks begin at 7.30pm. Alongside the talks, we have our popular bargain plant stall and “Looking Good” table, plus the all-important cuppa and cake.
Visitors are most welcome — entry is £5 (cash) for non-members, with free entry for members. Membership also includes visits to private gardens and local places of interest, competitions, and a great programme of spring workshops, including Winter Pruning with Anna Bradstock, Willow Weaving with Alcindo Pinto, and Paper Flower Making with Kelly Swani.
Annual membership is £25 single or £36 joint.
If you’d like to know more, we’d love to hear from you at jerseygardeningclub@gmail.com, and we’re also on Facebook for the latest updates.
